In one of the most magical moments in Philadelphia Phillies history, Bryce Harper sent the Phillies to the World Series with a 4-3 victory over the San Diego Padres.

Harper belted a dramatic game-winning home run in the eighth inning of a rainy NLCS Game 5 to win the National League Championship Series.

The Phillies will make their first World Series appearance since 2009. They lost to the Yankees that year, and defeated the Rays in the World Series the year prior.

Astros-Yankees might not get as lucky

Luckily for the Phillies, the league chose to play the game through rain in Philadelphia, making Harper’s electrifying rain-soaked moment a reality to be written in history books. The Astros and Yankees, who were set to face off shortly in Le Bronx for Game 4, might not have the same luck as the MLB just delayed the game, targeting an 8:30 ET start.
