Worry for the San Diego Padres after Fernando Tatis Jr suffered a femoral stress reaction affecting his right leg. The Dominican right fielder has been placed on the 10-day injury list and is set to miss the next few games.

Padres unsure when Tatís Jr will return?

Padres manager Mike Shildt explained that he does not know when Tatís Jr might be able to return, adding that he will be closely following the player’s evolution during the first few days of his rehabilitation.

This week a decision will be made about what sort of treatment Tatís Jr will undergo. Most stress injuries can be treated conservatively and heal on their own in time although sometimes surgery is the only option.

Tatís Jr was reported to have been suffering from tightness in his right quadriceps during the past few weeks, but it was only now that he has been made and he has been placed on the casualty list with a full diagnosis.

During the current MLB regular season, has had 14 home runs, 36 runs batted in and eight stolen bases in 80 appearances.

The friars have a difficult schedule on the horizon - right now they are involved in a series against the Washington Nationals with upcoming clashes against the Boston Red Sox and Texas Rangers. They are also in the upper part of the National West, just behind the Los Angeles Dodgers on 42-41.
