The US qualified for the most important youth international baseball tournament. When, where, and against whom they’ll debut in the Super Round?

The United States dominated Group B of the XXXI U-18 Baseball World Cup almost without breaking a sweat. With four wins and just one loss against Japan on matchday three of the tournament, Team USA has managed to advance to the round as leader of the group with an average of .800. The competition, which has already had six continuous days of baseball in Chinese Taipei, is about to start the Super Round phase. Who will the United States play against in the Super Round?

The United States will debut this afternoon in the U-18 Baseball World Cup Super Round. As group leaders, the American side will face off in their Group A debut against their namesake Chinese Taipei. The match will be held at the Taipei Tianmu Baseball Stadium in Taipei City, starting at midnight today. In the premiere, Team USA will start as a visitor before one of the tournament’s revelations.

How does the Super Round work?

After finishing the group stage of the U-18 Baseball World Cup, the top three finishers in the two groups will go directly to play in the Super Round. The tournament’s final phase will be held between September 7 and 9. According to the tournament website, the first and second places in the Super Round will battle for the title in the final on September 10.
