What is Pepsi Colachup? Where can you try it?

A hotdog and a Pepsi are just about as American as it gets. Throw in a baseball game and the Fourth of July and you have a winner.

On the Fourth of July, America goes all star-spangled goo goo over barbecues and ball games. Fireworks may give you explosions in the sky, but now Pepsi cola has decided to try and give you that explosion of flavor in your mouth.

Pepsi and hotdogs? Yes, please. What about Pepsi and ketchup? Umm, say that again.

The cola giant has teamed up with the Culinary Institute of America to create a Pepsi-infused ketchup to celebrate Independence Day.

Pepsi senior director Jenny Danzi explains, “We invented Pepsi Colachup to reinforce just how well hot dogs and Pepsi go together. An unapologetically mouthwatering creation that seamlessly merges a condiment with the ultimate hot dog pairing beverage, delivering a unified taste experience.”

Where can you get your hands on this delectable flavor of freedom? Baseball parks, of course! Specifically, Pepsi has teamed up with four Major League Baseball teams: the Detroit Tigers, Minnesota Twins, Arizona Diamondbacks and New York Yankees to offer fans the chance to get their hands on a dog doused in this nectar.

Ballparks where you can get Pepsi Colachup

  • Yankee Stadium, Bronx, NY; Pepsi Lounge (Pepsi Lounge Ticket Required)
  • Target Field, Minneapolis, MN; Section 113

A flavor combination that just can’t lose!
