What MLB player has the most World Series rings?

It goes without saying that to win a World Series is the dream of any MLB player, however, to do so multiple times is something completely different.

Across the history of MLB, there are only a handful of players who have managed to win several World Series titles. With a regular season that lasts 162 games, and is then followed by the postseason lead up to ‘The Fall Classic’, it is as much a test of endurance as it is one of excellence.

What players have got multiple rings in modern baseball?

As we already established, winning a World Series is no small feat. To that end, there have not been many across the history of the game who have. The most recent MLB player to have four or more world titles was third baseman Pablo Sandoval. The Venezuelan won the World Series three times with the San Francisco Giants in 2010, 2012, and 2014 before joining the Atlanta Braves with whom he won another title in 2021.

Prior to Sandoval’s accomplishment, there aren’t many others in the modern era, and interestingly enough they more or less all come from the New York Yankees teams of the late 1990s and 2000s. Indeed, Derek Jeter, Andy Petite, and Mariano Rivera all won rings with the Yankees in 1996, 1998, 1999, 2000, and 2009, establishing themselves as a true dynasty in the modern era of baseball.

Yogi Berra is the king of rings

You will note the use of the phrase ‘modern baseball’ in the section above. That’s to say that yes, there are indeed various players from the older days who have won many rings.

Yet, when it comes to the man who sits atop them all, that would be former Yankees catcher, Yogi Berra. With 10 rings to his name, Berra holds the MLB record for most rings all of which he won between 1947 and 19162. Part of the iconic “Murderers Row” New York Yankees team, Berra followed in the footsteps of other New York legends such as Joe DiMaggio and Babe Ruth.

Here’s a look at the other men who have managed to win multiple rings in MLB’s long history:
