When is the LA Dodgers World Series championship parade? Date, time, and route map
For 36 years, Dodgers fans have waited for their World Series Commissioners Trophy parade. Finally, fans will have that chance this Friday, November 1.
The relentless fireworks lighting up the night sky, the lively crowds celebrating in the streets, and your boss inexplicably calling in sick can only signify one exciting fact: the Los Angeles Dodgers have won the World Series champions.
In a dramatic finish against the New York Yankees, the Dodgers clinched the title with a decisive four-game to-one victory. The fifth game, in particular, was a nail-biter, as the Dodgers displayed unparalleled resilience, rallying from a daunting five-run deficit to secure their win. The atmosphere in the city of LA immediately exploded, with fans flocking the streets and erupting in cheers, and the joy of triumph filled every corner of the city just minutes following the last pitch of the game.
What about the Champions Parade?
Although the franchise won the trophy in that short pandemic 2020 season, the fans were deprived of a collective celebration, realistically the most fun part of following sports.
This time, the Los Angeles Dodgers organization announced that their parade would be on Friday, Nov. 1, starting at 11 a.m. The parade itself is expected to last about 45 minutes and be followed by a special ticketed event at Dodger Stadium.
The parade will begin on the Spring Street side of L.A. City Hall, proceeding south before turning west onto 1st Street. It will then continue south on Grand Avenue and turn west onto 5th Street. The parade will carry on for a few more blocks west, concluding between Figueroa and Flower Streets.
Attendance for the parade is free; however, there will be a ticketed celebration at Dodger Stadium afterward. Please note that due to timing conflicts, attendees will not be able to participate in both the parade and the stadium celebration.
Recommendations for first-goers
To start, avoid driving! With road closures and thousands of fans, you’re likely to experience heavy traffic everywhere.
Fortunately, the parade route is within walking distance of five Metro stations: Civic Center/Grand Park, Grand Ave Arts/Bunker Hill, and 7th St/Metro Center are all located along the parade route, while Union Station and Pershing Square are just a couple of blocks away.
Los Angeles Metro has not yet announced any service changes, but we will keep you informed if that situation changes.
