The New York Yankees secured their ticket to the American League Championship Series (ALCS) after beating the Kansas City Royals in four games (3-1) in the Division Series; now, they await the rival of the winner of the Series between the Detroit Tigers and the Cleveland Guardians, who extended the Series until the fifth game.

The Bronx Bombers are on the verge of competing in a new edition of the long-awaited World Series and lifting the Commissioner’s Trophy once again, just as they did for the last time in 2009 when they beat the Philadelphia Phillies in six games.

As far as the Championship Series is concerned, the last time they got there was in 2022 when they were swept 4-0 by the Houston Astros; previously, the ‘Stros’ were also executioners of the ‘Evil Empire’ in 2017 after extending the Series to seven games.

This season, the Yankees have shown that they want to achieve the feat of playing in the World Series at all costs.

In the regular season, they achieved first place in the American League after registering a 94-68 record, which allowed them to secure their ticket to the postseason and rest during the Wild Card Series.
