When will José Abreu return to the Houston Astros rotation?

Cuban player José Abreu will be back in Major League Baseball with the Houston Astros after remaining with the AAA Sugar Land Space Cowboys affiliate in the minor leagues. The player has improved after having a very erratic start to the season.

“When I was going through that, and your head was not in a good place, there was a point; I’m telling you from the bottom of my heart, I didn’t know how to hit or field. I was a little lost, but I am humble enough to recognize and try to be the best José Abreu that I can be”, said the player.

Before being sent to the minor leagues, he maintained a low performance with an offensive line of .099/.156/.113, while in OPS, he maintained an average of .284; With Space Cowboys he maintained an average of .241 / .313 /.414, an OPS of .727, in addition to hitting a home run.

Abreu will return to the Astros starting this Monday

José Abreu is part of the roster after signing a three-year contract in exchange for 58.5 million dollars in 2013, coming from the Chicago White Sox. Abreu is scheduled to return this Monday with the Houston Astros on their visit to the Seattle Mariners at T-Mobile Park.
