After having been the figure of Game 1 in the World Series of the 2024 Postseason in Major League Baseball and contributing greatly to the victory of the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 2, this Monday, Freddie Freeman was in charge of hitting a new home run against the New York Yankees in Game 3, putting the Los Angeles organization ahead in ‘The Big Apple’.

With this home run in the first inning from Yankee Stadium, Freeman tied George Springer for the most consecutive games (five) in the Fall Classic with a homer. The outfielder who is now part of the Toronto Blue Jays achieved it with the Houston Astros between 2017 and 2019, while the Dodgers first baseman achieved it at the end of his stage with the Atlanta Braves - where he won the World Series - in 2021 and this year 2024.

Other men who accomplished this feat in Major League Baseball’s title game were Reggie Jackson (1977-78) and Lou Gehrig (1928-32) with the Bronx Bombers, but they were limited to four straight home runs.

If Freddie Freeman homers in Tuesday’s Game 4, he would move into the lead with six consecutive games.

With the Fall Classic underway, Freeman has a strong case to be the leading contender for the MVP of this Commissioner’s Trophy final, since in Game 1 he hit the first wall-off grand slam in World Series history and now has two home runs with which he leads LAD’s offense.
