Who will be the captain of Mexico in the 2023 World Baseball Classic?
It will be the first time that Julio Urías of the Los Angeles Dodgers will represent Mexico professionally in baseball, and he will be the team’s captain.

Julio Urías, the left-handed pitcher who plays for the Los Angeles Dodgers, will captain Mexico in the World Baseball Classic, according to Rodrigo López, general manager of the Mexican National Team.
Urías is one of the most prominent Mexicans in the MLB in recent years, being World Series champion with the Dodgers in 2020.

This will be the first time that Culichi plays with the Mexican team at a professional level. In 2017, he had the intention of representing the country in the fourth edition of the World Classic, but the Dodgers management denied him permission since he was in the process of developing the ninth.
