Why won’t MLB return to the Field of Dreams in 2023?
Fans will surely be disappointed by the news, but reports suggest that they won’t have to wait too long before baseball returns to the famed cornfield.

Considering the unprecedented success of MLB’s ‘Field of Dreams’ games, one could be forgiven for being confused as to why the league won’t be holding one in 2023.
Construction commitments halt ‘Field of Dreams’ game in 2023
Former MLB icon and head of the venture that bought the ‘Field of Dreams’ baseball park, Frank Thomas explained why Major League Baseball won’t be returning to the iconic venue this year. Baseball fans enjoyed the Reds vs Cubs game at the historic venue in 2022
Thomas disclosed, however, that due to construction of a youth baseball and softball complex that will also have a hotel, scheduling a game in 2023 would be impossible. With that said, MLB’s faithful can rest easy as it remains all but certain, that games will return to the storied ball-park once the project is completed. “It’s a lot going on,” Thomas said. “They don’t want to come back if the stadium’s not prepared.”

2022′s ‘Field of Dreams’ game was special
For everyone who loves baseball, the game in Iowa was fun to watch and even emotional for some of us. It’s a shame they won’t repeat in 2023. MLB fans are already looking forward to the 2024 edition as we wait and see who will play at the field that the Kevn Costner movie made famous.
