Yankees vs Dodgers Game 2 of the World Series: pitchers, lineups, stats, etc.
The pitchers dominated Game 1 of the World Series. They kept it nice and clean until the sixth inning when the seams of the balls started to come out.

The first game of the 2024 Major League Baseball World Series ended dramatically with a bases-loaded home run in the bottom of the 10th, while the team’s best player struggled at the plate. Freddie Freeman rose to the occasion, delivering a Hollywood-style moment.

The pitchers dominated early, with Jack Flaherty and Gerrit Cole performing well until they wore down. However, the final inning was chaotic, filled with mistakes and multiple runs scored. It was a game both teams felt they deserved to win.
A single out would have saved the Yankees, but a lapse in concentration allowed them to lose a one-run lead in the bottom of the 10th. This game exceeded all World Series expectations, and hopefully, the upcoming games will be just as thrilling.

"They have good hitters, but we're here for a reason. I think our lineup is just as good. I honestly think we're better, I'm biased. I'm a big leaguer too, I'm supposed to get those guys out. That's what I'm paid for" pic.twitter.com/nceFcHtyzX
Rodón has proven to be the logical choice to follow Game 1 starter Gerrit Cole, given his postseason performance. In three starts during the playoffs so far, he has recorded a 4.40 ERA, demonstrating both his ability to strike out batters and control his pitches with an impressive strikeout-to-walk ratio of 22:1 across 14.1 innings pitched.
