The NBA Finals are set after the Boston Celtics stamped their ticket to the Title series on Sunday night. The Golden State Warriors were awaiting an opponent since Thursday when they beat the Dallas Mavericks to reach the Finals.

Warriors in Finals after two years with no postseason

Since the Warriors qualified for the Finals in Game 5 of the Western Conference Finals, Golden State fans have been getting their affairs in order to make sure they are there when Steph Curry and company battle for the Larry O’Brien Trophy.

Boston fans had to sweat it out, after the Celtics were pushed to a Game 7. Jayson Tatum and company took care of the Miami Heat, Celtics die hards surely hit the World Wide Web hard making sure they would be in attendance for at least Games 3 and 4.

Steve Kerr’s side is back in the Finals for the first time in two years, but this is quite common ground for the Warriors and their fans. It’s the sixth time the in the last eight years that Golden State has reached the last series of the NBA season. For a franchise and a fan base that is used to being in this position, the two years with out a chance for the title must seem like an eternity.

Boston fans will know about waiting an eternity for a chance to become crowned champions of the NBA. This year will mark the first time in 12 years the Celtics have made it to the Finals, and the fans will be itching to book their tickets to TD Garden.

Ticket prices go up as series goes on

You might think because of the C’s Finals drought, the prices in Boston might top those in San Francisco, but that’s not the case. In fact the average prices are just around level, according to TicketSmarter.

The cheapest tickets for Game 1 in Chase Center are going for $800 which is the least expensive ticket any set of fans will find in the seven game series. The average ticket price for the opener is $2,353 and the most expensive seats are going for $16,852.

The costliest game as of right now will be Game 5 at the Chase Center. This is expected to be an even match up and each team is almost guaranteed to win at least a game so Game 5 could, in theory, be the first potential knock out game. Those tickets are going for a minimum of $1,049, while the average price is ringing in at $3,655. If you are looking to go all out, the top priced ticket will cost you $24,716 which is at the moment the most expensive price of entry in the series.
