If you’re hoping to get your hands on a ticket for Game one of the NBA Finals between the Golden State Warriors and the Boston Celtics there’s one thing you need to know: it’s going to cost you a lot.

Game 1 of the 2022 NBA Finals had the most expensive average ticket price for any event at Chase Center since its opening in 2019; the average price on Thursday on the resale market was going for $3,526 per seat, more than $1,000 than the average ticket price in Boston for Games 3 and 4, according to Ticket IQ (h/t San Francisco Chronicle).

The get-in price for the cheapest tickets available for Game 1 was $615, and the most expensive one was $27,266.

It’s clear that the prices will increase as the games get more exciting, with Game 2 already priced at $795, and Game 3, which will be at the TD Garden in Boston, is also the same price.

Even Celtics stars Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown couldn’t help but say something about the exorbitant ticket prices of this year’s NBA Finals.
