2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup: Who has committed to play for Team USA?
Grant Hill, the executive director of USA Basketball, and coach Steve Kerr are currently in the process of finalizing a 12-man roster for the upcoming event.
The 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup is set to kick off on Aug. 25, 2023, with the Group Phase marking the beginning of the tournament. The Final Phase, also known as the elimination round, is scheduled to commence on Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2023, culminating in the championship game on Sunday, Sept. 10, at 8:40 a.m. ET.
The tournament will occur across multiple locations, including Indonesia, Japan, and the Philippines.
The United States Men’s National Team will compete in Group C, with all their games scheduled to be held at the Mall of Asia Arena in Manila. Group C comprises New Zealand, the United States, Jordan, and Greece.

The top two teams from Group C will advance to the Second Round, where they will join the top two finishers from Group D (Egypt, Mexico, Montenegro, and Lithuania).

The United States Men’s National Basketball Team is gearing up for the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup and is in the process of finalizing its roster. After finishing seventh in the 2019 World Cup, Team USA is determined to reclaim its dominance and overthrow the reigning champions, the Spanish National Team.
