Lakers vs Nuggets live online: stats, scores and highlights | 2023 NBA Playoffs - Western Conference finals Game 2
The Lakers & Nuggets put on a show in Game 2 but the star of it all was Jamal Murray
It goes without saying that the Lakers are now in trouble, but it would be unfair to say that they don't have the quality, talent and grit to get out of it as was clearly evidenced tonight.
In what was a tight game right through, LA actually maintained a lead for the majority of it. That is until Jamal Murray simply went off. With 22 second half points, Murray is the main reason why the Nuggets now have a 2-0 lead in the Western Conference finals.
Where the stars are concerned, it's got to be said that both LeBron James and Nikola Jokic had quiet nights offensively, but that's not to say they weren't key for their respective teams in other ways. Indeed, James was stellar on defense, forcing several turnovers out of Jokic in fact. In defense of the Serbian's not-so-prolific night, he too was key on defense, with a solid shift against Anthony Davis.
Yet, mention has got to be made of Jamal Murray one again. The Canadian point guard was everywhere - he played the entire second half - and then some. That's before we mention the manner in which he freaked out in the 4th with an incredible shooting display from beyond the arc.
Ultimately, this series is far from over but it would be naive to think that the Lakers can do anything less than turn in sensational performances from this point on, if they're to get back in it.
A goodnight to all of you and don't forget to join us again for Game 3!

It's almost Games Time!
We're now less than minutes away from tip off in Game 2 of the Western Conference finals and we can safely say, we're excited.
Tonight's game between the Lakers and the Nuggets promises to be an intense battle. On the one side, we've got a legend of the game and arguably the greatest player ever to play it - trigger warning for Michael Jordan fans.
On the other, we've got a guy who is steadily affirming his status as one of the greats of today's game. Indeed, the fact that he narrowly missed out on a second straight MVP award and has led his team to the Conference Finals - the actual MVP has since gone home - only further confirms the idea.
So, what to expect? It would be reasonable to believe that the Lakers aren't going to take their Game 1 loss lying down, especially knowing that to go 2-0 down would not be ideal to say the least. Yet, it's got to be said that the Nuggets are no joke. Quite frankly, they play like they don't have a sense of humor. That's to say the Lakers will be doing everything they can to get a win on the road, but everything might not be enough.
A little trivia for you
For those who appreciate statistical querks, here;s one worth noting. The question is, will we get the same results as three years ago?

The 'Joker' is preparing
After a dominant performance in Game 1 from the Nuggets star, the Lakers are going to have to be 'all hands on deck' if they hope to get out of the arena with a win.
Cargando...
The Lakers have to do better...
Definitely something that the Lakers are going to want to address tonight. The question obviously is whether or not they can...
Cargando...
Oooook that's a lot of money
At some point, someone is going to have to ask the NBA just who it is that they want to have access to their games? At this rate, it'll soon be a situation where only high net worth individuals can afford to watch games live. The rest of us will be sat at home on the sofa, or best case scenario a bar.

Memories...
It's hard not to feel some degree of nostalgia when considering the match up between these two teams, and in this case a degree of sadness. Kobe was one of a kind and will surely be missed.
As for the present, the Lakers have got their work cut out for them, but if nothing else they've got their own iconic star today as well in LeBron James. The question is can he bring the heat in the same manner that the "Mamba" did?
Cargando...
The big man can shoot
Having just missed out on his second consecutive MVP award, the 'Joker' continues to show us why he's easily one of the best in the league. Indeed, some might say 'the best.' Regardless, the Lakers will need to do everything they can - it's asking a lot, we know - to stop him from catching a rhythm.
All we can say is ' good luck LA.'
Cargando...
Something like this?
OK! It might be a little theatrical, but surely we're about to witness a clash that will be as physical and intense as what John Cena and Co. have shown us? Not convinced? Stay with us to find out!
Cargando...
It's a good question...
If one thing is clear, it's that the Lakers can compete with the best. Unfortunately, now that they're playing arguably the best team in the West, they're going to have to do more than just compete.

Welcome Welcome Welcome!
It's a big night in the NBA with Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Denver Nuggets. Having survived a late surge by LeBron and Co. in Game 1, Nikola Jokic and his men are in a nice spot as they'll be playing at home.
With that said, it's clear the Lakers are no longer the team we all watched struggle during the early stages of the regular season. Indeed, LA has given us what could be considered one of the better examples of a 'turn around' in quite a few years, regardless of what sport we are discussing.
Hard to believe this was a team that was at risk of not even making the playoffs for a second year running, and now here they are duking it out in the conference finals with the team that entered the post season at No. 1. Expect fireworks tonight and be sure to stay with us as we take you through the action.
