2026 NBA All-Star KIA Shooting Stars format
The competition features two rounds.
Round 1
In Round 1, all four teams compete. Each team has 70 seconds to score points by shooting from seven different locations around the court.
Four locations are worth two points, two are worth three points, and the furthest shot from the basket is worth four points.
Players must shoot in a specific predetermined order. Failing to follow that order will result in a lost attempt.
Once Round 1 is complete, the two teams with the highest point totals advance to the Final Round. If teams are tied, they will compete in a 30-second tiebreaker under the same format. The higher-scoring team advances.
Final Round
The Final Round follows the same format as Round 1 but features only the two highest-scoring teams.
The team with the most points in the Final Round will be crowned Shooting Stars champion.
If the teams are tied at the end of the Final Round, the entire round will be replayed to determine a winner.
