After lengthy lay-off, Zion Williamson edges closer to return
The Pelicans star has been sidelined due to a hamstring strain but the 24-year-old is almost ready to return to the court.

New Orleans Pelicans power-forward Zion Williamson is getting closer to returning to first team action.
The 24-year-old has been absent for more than two months due to a strained left hamstring sustained on 6 November.
The player has been listed as questionable for New Orleans' home game against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Tuesday night which is a positive step for Pelicans fans as the team props up the Western Conference.

With just seven wins all season along with 29 defeats, even if Williamson doesn’t play versus the Timberwolves, the development is a positive step for the long suffering fans as the Pelicans struggle.
Better times ahead for Pelicans?
The New Orleans franchise finally won two games in a row for the first time since the first two games of the season.

However, both of the most recent victories came against the Washington Wizards, who are neck-and-neck with the Pelicans for the worst record in the NBA.
“It’s great,” New Orleans coach Willie Green said. “Two wins in a row. We’ll continue to ride this momentum.”
