Alex Antetokounmpo, brother of Giannis, joins Bucks affiliate
Alex Antetokounmpo has joined the Wisconsin Herd, a G League team affiliated to NBA franchise the Milwaukee Bucks, where brothers Giannis and Thanasis both play.
Alex Antetokounmpo, brother of Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo, signed on Monday for the Wisconsin Herd, the G League development team affiliated to the 2021 NBA champions.
The 20-year-old forward, who played for the G League team the Raptors 905 last season, joins the Herd in exchange for Jalen Lecque, the Wisconsin team said in a statement.
Antetokounmpo joins brothers Giannis and Thanasis in Wisconsin
Alex, who played for UCAM Murcia in Spain during the 2020/21 season, becomes the third Antetokounmpo brother to be associated with the Bucks. Thanasis Antetokounmpo, 30, has played for the Milwaukee franchise in 2019.
Appeared in All-Star Skills Challenge this year
Alex featured alongside Giannis, 27, and Thanasis in the Skills Contest at February’s NBA All-Star Game in Cleveland.
The forward played 23 games with the Raptors 905 last season.
In addition to Giannis and Thanasis, Alex is the brother of Kostas Antetokounmpo, 24, who was an NBA champion with the Los Angeles Lakers in 2020.
