Anthony Davis sustains yet another injury
The Mavs player was forced out of the Christmas Day game in the second quarter as Dallas fell to the Warriors.

Anthony Davis is out of action again after suffering right groin spasms during the Christmas Day game against the Golden State Warriors. He pulled up while running in transition early in the second quarter and did not return to the game.
His official injury status has been listed as “day-to-day” and initial reports indicate that there is no structural tear. The team described his removal from the Christmas Day game as an “abundance of caution.”

This setback follows a series of injuries for Davis this season (his first with the Dallas Mavericks after a trade for Luka Dončić):
In November, he missed 14 consecutive NBA games due to a left calf strain and the player has been sidelined for a total of 16 contests so far in the 2025/26 season.

Next up for the Mavs
The Mavericks are scheduled to play the Sacramento Kings on Saturday (December 27), and the team is awaiting further clarity on whether these spasms will require him to miss additional time.
