The Miami Heat are hoping to bring in reinforcements to ease some of the pain this week’s NBA Finals defeat to the Denver Nuggets. The Heat want to turn the page quickly, so questions are being asked about which players could give the team an immediate boost to return to the playoffs again next season.

Shams Charania, one of the most recognized insiders in the NBA and reporter for The Athletic, has put on the table an option in which the Washington Wizards star Bradley Beal could join the Eastern Conference franchise. “The Washington Wizards’ new front-office leaders and Bradley Beal have a mutual understanding that they intend to work together to find a trade that would send the three-time All-Star guard to a contender if the team elects to reset the organization,” he wrote.

Michael Winger’s arrival as the new president will undoubtedly be a fundamental factor in the franchise instigating a rebuilding program and there is a strong possibility that Bradley Beal might not fit into the plans. Winger confirmed that he had been given clearance by ownership to do a complete rebuild of the team.

ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski also reinforced rumors of Beal’s departure.

Bradley Beal has a four-year contract and more than $200 million guaranteed in his contract. The 29-year-old guard will earn around $47 million in the 2023-2024 campaign, $50 million in 2024-2025, $54 million in 2025-2026 and $57 million in 2026-2027. It also however, includes a no-trade clause which means he will have a say in his future.
