Bradley Beal’s contract details and salary: How much money will he make in the next few seasons?

The NBA is about power, athleticism, and intelligence, but also shooting. And one of the league’s best offensive players is, without a doubt, Bradley Beal.

The Washington Wizards star has averaged 23.2 points and 5.4 assists per game while shooting 50.6 percent from the field and 36.5 percent on three-pointers in the last season.

However, things could change soon, as Beal could become available this summer if Washington decides to move into a rebuild rather than build around him.

Beal’s contract details

In July 2022, the shooting guard signed a max contract extension with the Wizards. The terms of the deal were five years, $251 million. In the first year of the deal, Beal earned $43.2 million, but that figure will increase every year.

He is set to make $46.7 million next campaign, followed by $50.2 million in 2025. One year later he would get $53.7 million, while in 2027 he would be paid $57.1 million.

He has four years left, but he could decline his player option for the 2026-27 season and enter unrestricted free agency in the summer of 2026.

From next season on he will have the fifth-highest salary in the NBA. behind only Stephen Curry, Nikola Jokic, Joel Embiid, and LeBron James.

Wizards-Beal: trade is a real possibility

While he is still in his prime and one of the best shooters in the league, his massive contract could limit Washington’s future movements to improve their roster, so the franchise and the player are also studying some trade options if the Wizards choose to change their strategy during the 2023 offseason.

However, Beal’s contract situation would make a potential trade difficult if he finally becomes available. In his contract, he also has a no-trade clause. That means he can control all the movements surrounding his future: where he goes and how much another team would have to give up to add him. And if he doesn’t like the terms of the deal, he can reject it. That no-trade clause would also apply to his next team if he finally leaves the Wizards, so he would still be in control of future operations.

The Miami Heat, the Sacramento Kings, and the Milwaukee Bucks are some of the teams that have offered their interest in the player.
