Bucks vs Celtics: NBA play-off, times, TV, how and where to watch Game 1 Eastern Conference semi-final

The TD Garden in Boston hosts Game 1 of the Eastern Conference semi-final as the Celtics face reigning champions Milwaukee Bucks is a Tatum vs Giannis battle.

Bucks @ Celtics

It was a dominant showing by the reigning champion Milwaukee Bucks last Wednesday as they secured a place in the Eastern Conference semi-final after a 116-100 win against the Chicago Bulls, taking the series 4-1.

Giannis Antetokounmpo led the way for the Bucks, scoring 33 points on 11-of-15 shooting, also going 11-of-14 from the free throw line.

Their emphatic win over Chicago sees the Bucks now facing inform Boston Celtics who themselves brushed away the star studded Brooklyn Nets.

Celtics too strong for Nets

Boston Celtics start the series as favourites in the East to secure a place in the NBA final as the inform team brushed aside Brooklyn Nets to confirm a 4-0 series sweep.

In what was billed as arguably the most competitive first round series in recent memory, the Celtics were simply too good on the defensive end to let the frightening Nets offense find any rhythm or flow.

Boston’s Jayson Tatum and Defensive Player of the Year Marcus Smart are the heartbeat of this Celtics side who are looking for their first championship win since the 2007-08 season.

Team news

The Celtics will be boosted by the news that star shooting guard Jaylen Brown should be good to go when Game 1 tips off. That being said this is a team that just swept the highly favored Brooklyn Nets, which is to say they have no reason to be lacking in confidence. Add to that the notion of home court advantage, which they will enjoy for the first two games of the series and things begin to look promising for the Celtics. The biggest question, however, will be whether or not the Celtics can handle Giannis Antetokounmpo in the same way that they did with Kevin Durant. While it’s not likely to be the case, as Antetokounmpo is quite frankly one of the most athletically gifted players in the league, expect things to get intense as the Celtics will certainly try to make life difficult for him.

There is, however, one major downside for Milwaukee and that’s the news that Kris Middleton sustained a MCL sprain and as such won’t feature in the series at all.
