Things are looking bleak for the Brooklyn Nets, as they are on the brink of being eliminated from the NBA playoff series.

The Boston Celtics took a 3-0 lead after drubbing the Nets 109-103 on Saturday night. The Celtics limited Kevin Durant to only 16 points, and Kyrie Irving to only 16 points as well.

No team has ever recovered from a 3-0 deficit to win a playoff series, so it looks likely that it’s very close to the end of the road for Brooklyn.

Boston’s sterling performance

Boston has been playing like a super team, with the best defense in the league composed of first class defenders Jayson Tatum. Jaylen Brown, and Marcus Smart.

With their solid defense being combined with an offense that has been heating up, they are now becoming favorites to come out on top of the Eastern Conference.

At the rate that the Nets have been playing, a return to play by Ben Simmons in Game 4 may do little to bolster their chances of clawing their way back into contention.
