Cooper Flagg to face high-profile rookie on Mavs debut as NBA announces full 2025 Summer League schedule

The NBA has announced its full schedule for the 2025 NBA 2K26 Summer League, which will take place between July 10 and 20 in Las Vegas. And there could be an eye-catching Mavs debut for Cooper Flagg, the No. 1 pick in the 2025 NBA Draft.

2025 NBA Summer League: venue, teams, format, tiebreakers...

Held at the Thomas & Mack Center and Cox Pavilion on the UNLV campus, the Las Vegas Summer League features all 30 NBA teams.

Each team will play at least four games during the preliminary round from July 10 to 18. The top four teams by winning percentage advance to the semifinals on July 19, with the two finalists squaring off in the championship on July 20.

Tiebreakers include head-to-head results, point differential, and other statistical factors. Teams not advancing to the semifinals still play a fifth and final game, ensuring every squad gets minutes on the court.

Cooper Flagg vs. Bronny James? Lakers face Mavs on Day 1

One of the standout games will see the Dallas Mavericks take on the Los Angeles Lakers on the first day of the tournament, which could see No. 1 draft pick Cooper Flagg take on last year’s most high-profile rookie, Bronny James.

That matchup is slated for Thursday, July 10 at 8pm ET and will be the fifth game of the day. The opening game will see the New Orleans Pelicans face off against the Minnesota Timberwolves at 3:30pm ET.
