“Doncic is a killer”
The LA Lakers are set to face the Mavericks on Tuesday night with coach JJ Redick full of praise for the Slovenian.

The Los Angeles Lakers continue to deliver solid performances as they continue in their battle for a postseason placing in the Western Conference. At present, the Lakers sit in fourth place behind the Oklahoma City Thunder, Memphis Grizzlies and Denver Nuggets.
JJ Redick’s side impressed over the weekend as they beat the Nuggets 123-100, ending Denver’s nine game winning streak in the process with point guard Luka Doncic delivering a outstanding performance.
JJ Redick told Luka Dončić on Saturday morning that he wanted “at least one blackout episode” in which Dončić screamed “at no one in particular.”

The Slovenian scored 32 points and worked well on court combining admirably with LeBron James and Austin Reaves.
Speaking after the win, the Lakers coach was enthused by the performance stating: “I think Luka has to be the guy that controls the offense,” Redick said. “And Bron (LeBron James) and AR (Austin Reaves) —because we’re going to shake everybody up—they’re going to have their moments to get the ball. But all three of those guys are really smart basketball players, and we can create mismatches. We can mix teams up.”

Doncic has averaged 8.2 assists per game in his NBA career and is dishing out 7.5 per game this season in 26 matchups with the Lakers and Dallas Mavericks before being traded.
In addition, against the Nuggets he hit 10 of 22 field goals and 4 of 9 from three-point range, with seven assists: “That’s the Luka I know, ‘the killer’”, said JJ Redick.
