Luka Doncic reflects on Mavs loss

Mavs superstar Luka Doncic put up 41 points and 15 rebounds, but it just wasn’t enough. In the final 12 seconds of the game, Doncic had a chance to get ahead when he shot a free throw, but missed and Dallas ended up losing by just a point.

“Just not getting the wins. That’s it for me…we just let a couple games go,” said Doncic after the game. “You’ve got to think, you’ve got another game, you’ve got to watch the video, and just get things right.”

During the final possession of the game, Doncic tried to pass Spencer Dinwiddie a few times, but the Wizards knocked it out of bounds on the first try and Delon Wright stole the second. The Wizards walked away with the W.

Doncic reflects on meeting Kobe Bryant

The anniversary of Kobe Bryant’s death is on January 26. It will have been three years since the NBA legend passed away in a tragic helicopter crash with his daughter, Gianna and seven others on board.

Doncic was asked about his favorite memory of Kobe and he reflected on the time that he met him when he was just a rookie. In 2018, Doncic joined the Mavericks and ahead of the season, he received a signed Kobe Bryant jersey and got the chance to meet the man himself.

Kobe was one of Doncic’s idols and he said that just getting to meet him and be in his presence at all was impactful.
