Draymond Green doubles down on beef with Santi Aldama
The Warriors’ power forward mocked the Spaniard after a flagrant foul, then doubled down on his podcast.

Draymond Green was at the center of another viral moment on Monday night as the Golden State Warriors beat the Memphis Grizzlies 131-118 at Chase Center. Spanish forward Santi Aldama played well, finishing with 14 points, six rebounds and four assists, but ended up becoming the latest target of Green’s antics – both on the court and online.
Green targets “clown” Aldama
With 3:51 remaining in the third quarter, Aldama stole the ball from Green, who then committed a flagrant foul trying to stop him from scoring. When the Grizzlies player missed the ensuing free throws, Green celebrated by doing a mocking little dance.
Later, on his podcast The Draymond Green Show, the Warriors forward used the opportunity to go after Aldama, accusing him of overreacting to a routine foul.
“He’s always talking,” Green said. “Every time we play against them, it’s the same thing. He likes to chirp – and I love that. I talk too. But what I don’t like is when a guy talks, acts like he wants smoke, and then you foul him and he falls to the ground holding his neck or his head like he’s dying. I don’t like that. Even if you get the call, you sold your soul for two free throws. You’re rolling around like you’re dying… Get up, go to the bench, then shoot your free throws. That’s it.”

Green went even further, calling Aldama’s behavior “clown stuff” and claiming karma got him back.
“You lose respect that way,” Green continued. “If you act like an idiot, we can’t assume you’re not one, because you’re acting like a clown. You’re listening to some dumbass coach telling you to flop or exaggerate when you get fouled. Now you’ve got to live with everyone looking at you like you’re an idiot. And that dude went from +15 to +2 after doing that dumb shit. I always say – don’t play like an idiot, because once you do, that’s who you are. You can’t change it. So yeah, I thought it was clown behavior. He acted like a clown, so I acted like a clown right in front of him when he missed both free throws. You can’t flop like that and then miss both. Not champ… kid.”
The Warriors and Grizzlies will face off two more times this season – on February 9 in San Francisco and February 25 in Memphis.
