Update:

Fasten your seatbelts everyone, tonight we have one of the biggest regular season games in NBA history. The Los Angeles Lakers host the Dallas Mavericks just weeks after they send Luka Doncic to LA in one of the most shocking trades in league history.

Luka starting to look like Luka in LA

We have been waiting for this moment since the deal was announced and confirmed early this month. The first thing a lot of people did after hearing the news was go right to the calendar and look at when Luka would take on his former team for the first time.

We saw the best of Luka in the Lakers last game against the Denver Nuggets over the weekend. He had 16 in the first quarter and dropped 32, 10 and 7 assists in the win over the second placed team in the West.

With Luka starting to find his rhythm, former Dallas Maverick Chandler Parsons thinks that the Slovenian will be looking for revenge against the team that traded him way.

Parsons expecting a show in LA

“I think he takes 25 shots. I think he has a 40-piece. He has such a personal vendetta against [Mavericks GM] Nico Harrison. I think he has a personal vendetta against this whole franchise...we were surprised [about the trade], can you imagine how he felt?...[The Mavericks] are also banged up. I think [Luka Doncic] comes out and is super aggressive...you know LeBron is going to be spoon-feeding him.”

Parsons played for Dallas from 2014-2016 and was one of the first people to talk to Mark Cuban about the trade will be sitting with the former majority owner tonight at the Crypto.com Arena. “I’m so confused” Parsons texted to the Mavs mogul after the trade, to which Cuban replied, “That makes two of us.”

Luka missed the first few games of his Laker career as he continued to recover from a calf stain that kept him out for six weeks. He started slow, but last game was just a preview of what the Lakers will look like with Luka and LeBron clicking.
