Kevin Garnett, a great star back in the day for the Timberwolves and the Celtics (winning the championship with the latter in 2008), has declared that he is a big fan of Luka Doncic and is impressed with how the Slovenian has been developing with Dallas Mavericks in the current campaign.

“I love Luka. I love Luka’s pace, I love Luka’s maturity,” KG enthused on his podcast KG Certified. “You see his maturity, you see how he’s been playing with older men or older people in his life. You see it. He’s not afraid of anything in the league. He goes at some of the best defenders the same way and makes them look like they’re not that great of defenders. He has a pace, you can’t speed him up. And he’s figured out the league”.

Known for his indomitable character on and off the court as well as his extraordinary quality with the ball in his hands, Garnett has been a member of the Hall of Fame since May 2021. He spent 21 seasons playing in the NBA and Boston retired his No.5 jersey for his contribution to the franchise’s last ring. He has been in 15 All Stars, he has been included in the All-NBA Team nine times. He was the MVP in 2004 and the Defensive Player of the Year in the season when Boston won the title, averaging a double-double (17.8 points and 10 rebounds) in his sports career. He is regarded as one of the 75 best players in history according to the recent league table.
