Giannis Antetokounmpo would play for the Bulls...someday

Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo said it’s “a no-brainer” that if an NBA player had a chance to play for the Chicago Bulls, they would.

Don’t freak out. Giannis Antetokounmpo isn’t going anywhere just yet. Ever since the Milwaukee Bucks drafted him in 2013, Giannis has become the face of the franchise. That doesn’t mean he would stay there forever though.

Although Giannis maintained that he is committed to the Bucks right now, he didn’t rule out the possibility of playing for another team at some point in his career. In an interview with Fox 32 Chicago, he was asked if he would ever play for the Bulls.

“I think anybody you ask that question that plays basketball, if he said no, he’d be a liar,” said Giannis. “It’s a team that won multiple championships. It’s a team that one of the greatest players, if not the greatest player to ever play this game, played for. So it’s a no-brainer; everybody would love to play for Chicago.”

As for now though, Giannis still has four years left on his five-year contract in Milwaukee. Down the line, if he does play for Chicago someday, they’d be gaining even more than he would. Last season, Giannis helped lead the Bucks to victory over the Bulls in the first round of the playoffs. When the Bulls won Game 2 of that series, it was the first win they had gotten against the Bucks since 2017.
