Golden State Warriors’ Stephen Curry has the most popular jersey in the NBA during the current season based on sales figures compiled by NBAstore.com. The Warriors No.30 jersey topped the list for the second season running, edging out LeBron’s iconic No.23 Lakers Nike Icon Swingman jersey which has been the biggest seller for eight seasons - and by far the biggest seller during the past six years.
Curry tops NBA jersey sales for second year in a row
Curry meanwhile has had the honor five times during his career - 2016, 2017, 2018, 2023 and 2024. The 36-year-old finished the 2023-4 regular season averaging 26.4 points, 4.5 rebounds, 5.1 assists and 45 percent from the field - a slight dip on last year but while LeBron and the Lakers head into the playoffs, Steph and the Warriors failed to make it to the postseason after falling to the Kings in the play-in.
Completing the top five jerseys sold in 2023/4, in order, are: LeBron James (Los Angeles Lakers), Jayson Tatum (Boston Celtics), Victor Wembanyama (San Antonio Spurs) and Giannis Antetokounmpo (Milwaukee Bucks). Further down the list we find Luka Doncic (Dallas Mavericks) in sixth, last season’s MVP Joel Embiid (Philadelphia 76ers) in 12th and the previous one, Nikola Jokic (Denver Nuggets ) in 13th.
The Los Angeles Lakers top NBA merchandise sales (jerseys, shorts, socks, T-shirts, headwear and other accessories), followed by the Celtics, Warriors, Bucks, 76ers and Chicago Bulls, who curiously, don’t have any players in the top 15 in jersey sales.
NBA jerseys currently retails for between $82 to $113 with some of the vintage jerseys, such as Shaquille O’Neal’s purple Los Angeles Lakers 1996/97 jersey priced at $168.
Michael Jordan’s No.23 jersey which he wore from 1984-1993 with the Chicago Bulls remains the biggest selling NBA jersey of all-time, followed by Kobe Bryant then LeBron according to NBAstore.com figures.
