Harden wants to go to the Clippers now

It seems that James Harden’s team preference has changed, and now he wants to leave the Sixers to join the Los Angeles Clippers.

Since the end of the previous season, uncertainty has been hanging over the fate of James Harden in Philadelphia. Even though Brada exercised his $35.6 million player option, insiders thought he would be gone. The Houston Rockets were seen as the primary destination, but in the meantime, they brought in Fred VanVleet and Dillon Brooks.

Sources have revealed to AllClippers that Harden’s desire to join the Clippers was strengthened by the team’s official re-signing of Russell Westbrook. The two had played on the Oklahoma City Thunder and Houston Rockets and remained close friends even after going separate ways.

While the 76ers are still intent on getting a better package than what is currently being offered, it seems less and less likely that Harden is open to remaining in Philadelphia. Harden still wants to leave the Sixers, and his relationship with general manager Darrell Morey is said to be strained. The Clippers are not in a hurry to increase their offer for Harden, as no other teams are pursuing him, and he seems unwilling to stay with his current team. However, both parties still want each other.

Last season, his 14th in the NBA, Harden averaged 21 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 10.7 assists.
