With only seven games left of the regular season, the LA Lakers are on the season’s final stretch to find a spot in this year’s NBA play-in tournament. The California franchise finds itself on the 9th seed at the moment, even though they lost their last game against the Heat 118-108.

How many times has LeBron James been out of the NBA play-in tournament?

The play-in started in 2019 at the Disney bubble as an experiment because of the COVID pandemic and the reduced number of games. Since then, LeBron has missed the playoffs and the play-in once, in the 2021-2022 season. Last year the Lakers finished as the 11th seed. Marking the first time in LeBron James’ career that he didn’t make the playoffs or the play-in.
