Trailing by 1-0 in the series and taking on top seed Boston in the Eastern Conference, Cleveland Cavaliers have been handed another setback ahead of the the second outing of the Conference semifinals with four players on the casualty list as they attempt to tie the series at TD Garden later today.

The Cavs have missed Jarrett Allen who has been sidelined since Game 4 of the last round. He finished as the Cavs’ top scorer in the 112-89 defeat to the Magic but suffered a pierced rib injury during the game after colliding with Franz Wagner, taking an elbow to the ribs. That injury, which left the center in excruciating pain, kept him out for the subsequent four matchups, including the first game of the semi-finals with the latest reports suggest that there is no short-term comeback in sight for the 26-year-old.

The high-flying Celtics have no such concerns on the injury front and after tonight’s game, the series shifts to Cleveland for Game 3 (Saturday) and Game 4 (Monday). The Celtics won two of their three games against the Cavaliers during the regular season, but Cleveland won the only game it played at home.
