Bronny James is likely to fulfill his dream of playing with his father, LeBron, when the next NBA regular season begins. However, the performance of the USC Trojans graduate in the Summer League has left much to be desired. Therefore, it is also possible that he will spend time with the South Bay Lakers of the G League before making the jump to the Los Angeles Lakers. However, that does not worry the son of the four-time champion. After the game against the Houston Rockets in Las Vegas, Bronny declared that he is willing to play at any level to continue playing.

“I'm looking forward to playing basketball. It doesn't matter what level I'm playing at," Bronny said after being questioned about his availability to play in the G League. “I feel like I'm in a bad patch right now.”

The Lakers’ ‘9′ statement contrasts too much with what his agent, Rich Paul, had assured before the Draft. The representative stated on ESPN that Bronny would not accept a two-way contract allowing him to play in the development league and the NBA. Instead, he received a four-year contract worth almost $8 million.

Bronny James’ stats in the Summer League

In three Summer League games, including the two in the California Classic, the player chosen with the 55th overall pick in the last Draft has missed all 12 three-point shots he has attempted, and his field goal accuracy is barely 23.1 percent.

During an on-air interview with ESPN in the second quarter on Friday, Lakers coach JJ Redick mentioned that he advised Bronny James to prioritize defense. He also mentioned that the team plans to create an intense player development program for him. On average, the guard has contributed five points per game.

The Lakers’ next game in the Summer League will be Monday against the Boston Celtics at the Thomas & Mack Center at 7:30 p.m. ET.
