On Thursday evening, the Boston Celtics will host the Phoenix Suns at TD Garden in a high-profile game of this season. The Celtics will have their star player, Jayson Tatum, in the starting lineup, as he has been cleared to play after being listed as probable. Tatum had sprained his ankle during a game against the Golden State Warriors last week but has since been under the supervision of the Celtics medical team.

They upgraded his health status yesterday and made him available to coach Mazzulla. Tatum has averaged a fantastic 27 points, 8.4 boards, and 4.9 assists per game this year. He makes 47.3% of shots from the field and 37.5% from downtown, with 3.1 made 3-pointers per game (10th in the NBA).

These were his stats in their last encounter a few days ago.

Unfortunately, Kristaps Porzingis will miss his fourth straight game due to a right hamstring strain, while Jaylen Brown is listed as questionable for the game due to a left hip contusion. Brown has also been dealing with a sacroiliac strain, which causes pain and stiffness in the buttocks or lower back.

Thursday night’s game against the Phoenix Suns will tip off at 7:30 p.m. ET. The Suns are currently sixth in the Western Conference standings with a record of 38-27. The Celtics, who are at the top of the NBA standings with a record of 51-14, are returning to TD Garden after winning their last three games on a rocky five-game road trip that included losses to the Cleveland Cavaliers and Denver Nuggets.
