The Phoenix Suns were eliminated from contention for the 2024 NBA playoffs after being ‘swept’ in the series against the Minnesota Timberwolves in the first round. The bad news for the Arizona lineup does not end there; one of its stars will soon be leaving.

According to Shams Charania, Kevin Durant is reportedly analyzing his departure from Phoenix due to various problems with the team’s offensive system during the season. He highlighted poor understanding with Devin Booker and Bradley Beal.

The player, who has been called to 14 All-Star Games, is considering asking for a trade in the next NBA window. Kevin Durant arrived in Phoenix last season and immediately made the team a serious contender to reach the NBA Finals. However, the Suns were eliminated in the Conference Semifinals against the Denver Nuggets last year.

Kevin Durant had an impressive performance in the regular and playoff seasons, averaging 27.1 and 26.1 points per game, respectively. He showed great effectiveness in his three-point attempts, with 41.3% and 41.7% accuracy in the regular and playoff seasons, respectively.

However, any team interested in acquiring Durant will have to take on the remaining 100 million dollars of his contract, which expires in 2026. Despite this, ‘Durantula’ has proven his worth on the court and could be a valuable asset for any team.
