Jimmy Butler and Carlos Alcaraz have developed a friendship and an admiration over the last few months and the Miami Heat star made sure not to miss the Spaniard’s victory over Holger Rune in quarterfinal for the third Grand Slam of the season. Television cameras focused on the NBA Finalist in the box of the Murcian tennis player enjoying the match from the front row.

The power forward in the box with the player’s family, coach Juan Carlos Ferrero, and the entire technical staff of the current number 1 in the world. Not too far away from Butler was the Queen of England Camilla Parker who was there to watch Alcaraz and Rune.

Butler and Alcaraz, an admiration that comes from afar

Both stars have seen each over over the last several tournaments and where they have exchanged words and developed a mutual admiration. In the Miami Masters 1000, Butler was present at the Spaniard’s debut where he he was already heaping praise on the youngster: “Results come and he is not number one by accident”. That same week, Alcaraz went to see a Miami Heat game. A few months later, the Heat shared a video on social networks celebrating a victory for El Palmar’s pride and joy at Roland Garros.
