Update:

Steph Curry never ceases to surprise. It’s been almost two decades of dominance for the league’s greatest three point shooter ever, but his new teammate Jimmy Butler, is enjoying the spectacle like he’s never seen it before.

Curry’s Sunday showcase

Butler was traded from the Miami Heat to the Golden State Warriors after a long saga in South Beach. He said he had lost the joy of playing basketball in the last few months with the Heat, but that joy seems to be coming back and Steph Curry is helping Butler recover his love of the game.

The Warriors welcomed former San Fran Splash Brother Klay Thompson and the Dallas Mavericks who came to town on Sunday afternoon. Curry led the way in a blowout win over the Mavs and had one of his patented hot streaks to close the game out before the fourth quarter even rolled around.

Butler in awe with Curry

Curry put the Mavs to the sword with a barrage of buckets late in the third quarter, which was followed by his patented “night, night” celebration as he rocked Dallas to sleep with a hypnotizing shooting display, finishing the night with 30 points.

Coach Steve Kerr, who is almost numb to these theatrics at this point, was heard asking Butler “It’s kind of fun watching that, isn’t it?” to which Butler replied, “I’m glad I’m on this side.”

Butler has had his fair share of battles against the Warriors and Curry in the past, but those two are looking to be building something in the Bay. Golden State was outside of the top 10 in the Western Conference but they have won five of six since Butler made his debut at Chase Center, and they sit 9th in the Conference and three games over .500.
