John Cooper’s sacrilege to Michael Jordan’s legacy at mansion sold for $9.5M in Highland Park, Illinois
The former abode of the Chicago Bulls superstar was sold last December with the new owner making some unpopular amendments.

Following his purchase of Michael Jordan’s Chicago-area estate, new owner John Cooper has new plans for the property.
After making the $9.5 million purchase late in 2024, Bulls fan Cooper stated that he had “exciting plans” for the future of the nine-bedroom residence and planned to “honor the property’s legacy,” adding that it “is great the way it is.”
Fast forward two months and Cooper now has the residence on the rental market for $230,000 a month, claiming that to live in MJ’s former abode is a “once in a lifetime opportunity” to lease a “world-class estate” that was designed for “those who live and breathe sports.”
Enfin ! Après ses années sur le marché, la maison de Michael Jordan à Highland Park, dans la banlieue de Chicago, a trouvé preneur.

The listing shows some latest photos of the property and Bulls fans are furious as it appears that Cooper has removed Jordan’s iconic “Jumpman” logo from the center of the in-house basketball court.
Making no mention of Jordan in the latest listing, Cooper claims that: “Champions Point (as he has named the house) is a sports lover’s sanctuary, featuring a regulation-sized basketball court, championship-level putting green, tennis court, fitness center, and gaming areas,” it says.
