The Phoenix Suns beat the Cleveland Cavaliers at home on Friday night by a score of 123-112. They maintain the tiebreaker for No. 10 in the Western Conference. It was Kevin Durant, who’s been a bright spot on the team since they traded for him two years ago, who led the Suns on Friday.
KD makes history
Durant led the Suns with 42 points, six rebounds, eight assists, and one block while shooting 17-of-29 from the field and four-of-nine from the three-point range in 39 minutes of playing time.

With that performance, KD moved past Hall of Famer Kevin Garnett into 13th on the list of most career field goals made in NBA history with 10,506. He’s on track to move up to 12th by Monday, when the Suns play the Milwaukee Bucks, as next on the list is Boston Celtics legend John Havlicek, who had 10,513.

At 36 years old, Durant continues to be one of the best players in the league.
