LeBron out
The Los Angeles Lakers hit the road for a six game east coast road trip as they continue their trek up the Western Conference standings. They visit Milwaukee tonight for a primetime matchup with the Bucks, but LeBron James is listed as out for tonight’s game from Fiserv Forum.
James played in the Lakers last game against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Sunday afternoon, but played 38 minutes in the win and comes into tonight with a nagging ankle injury. James has had ankle problems all year, and many times we have seen him listed as questionable on the injury report but he ends up playing the majority of those times.

NBA Standings
Taking a look at the standings in both conferences we see these two teams in very different positions in the East and the West. The Bucks are sitting in second trying to hold on to that 2 seed trying to hold off the Cavs, Knicks and Magic as they approach the finish line. The Lakers have their sights set on climbing out of the Play-In slots in the West, but they are going to have to make a big jump up the standings. They are in 9th right now, leading the Warriors by 2.5 games, and trailing the sixth placed Kings by three games. Between the Kings and the Lakers sit the Suns and Mavericks, and if the season ended right now we would have stars like Steph Curry, LeBron James, AD, Luka Doncic, Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant all in a fight to survive the Play-In tournament.
Giannis needs help
Giannis Antetokounmpo missed a couple games last week with a hamstring injury. In that time Damian Lillard and Bobby Portis picked up the slack on the scoring end. The Greek is back, and Lillard is still likely to post big numbers, but they need guys like Portis and Khris Middleton to step up on the offensive end while they try to get things sorted on the defensive end. That has been what has plagued the Bucks more than anything this season. It was a big reason Adrian Griffin was fired after a few months, and has been a struggle since Doc Rivers came to the sidelines. Milwaukee brought in Patrick Beverley to try to fill the void left by Jrue Holiday who is currently with the Eastern Conference leading Boston Celtics, but what he brings on the defensive side of the ball, he lacks when the Bucks have the ball.

AD in beast mode
With LeBron James coming into tonight’s game listed as questionable, the Lakers are going to need Anthony Davis, now and for the rest of the season, more than ever. They aren’t far removed from the championship winning season in which AD carried them in the bubble. They are going to need more of that on a nightly basis. He has had some huge games recently, including games of 27 and 25 rebounds and 36 and 16 last game. Obviously him staying healthy is one of the main recipes for success, but the Lakers want to see the dog that we have seen over the last half month as they head east for their road trip.

The Bucks were winning by just one at halftime, but they went on a 16-0 run to start the third quarter and kept a double digit lead the rest of the way as Milwaukee out rebounded the Thunder 57-37 and Khris Middleton posted an 11 point double-double.

We are live from Fiserv
Hello everyone and welcome to Milwaukee where the Bucks are back home looking to win their third straight game and fourth in their last five. They are targeting the second seed in the East, but almost as important as where they stand in the East is how they are playing. Damian Lillard and Giannis Antetokounmpo have had almost an entire season to gel, and while we have seen glimpses they still aren’t rolling as many thought they would. The Lakers haven’t left the state of California in the month of March, but embark on an Eastern Conference road trip in which they will play 6 games in the next nine days. They would love to start the swing off with a win against one of the top teams in the East tonight in Milwaukee.
