Lakers 110 vs 133Thunder live online: stats, scores and highlights | NBA
This is a team that gets a lot of credit for their ability to score the basketball but they deserve a lot of credit for the way they came out and defended the Lakers. They contained Davis, while limiting LeBron to 21 points and held the Lakers to 110 points. It's true that the aging Lakers looked in the final 15 minutes of the game, and by the 5:00 mark in the 4th quarter LA's starters were on the bench.

WE ARE UNDER WAY FROM PAYCOR!!!
OKC is looking to end a two game skid while the Lakers hope to wrap up their road trip with two straight wins.
Tonight's odds
The Thunder are back in Paycor as 5 point favorites over the Lakers with the Over/Under set at 234.5.
The Lakers are already an aging squad, and that becomes awfully evident on the back end of a back-to-back series. They were in Detroit last night, and they touched down in OKC earlier today. That's a lot of travel and a lot of basketball for LeBron and company. I'm taking the Thunder to cover.
Thunder win 123-112.
Giddey's off the court issues
The Oklahoma City Thunder and their shooting guard Josh Giddey could be in a good bit of trouble. OKC are in jeopardy of losing Giddey, 21, if he is found guilty of having a relationship with a minor. The case is being investigated as Newport Beach Police continue to look into the nature of the Australian’s relationship with a a “female minor.” Police have asked the girls family, but the family is refusing to cooperate for the time being. The Thunder have yet to take any action and Giddey has been in the starting line up since speculation started to grow last week. Giddey was asked about the situation by reporters, but declined to comment as the matter is still on going.
Another record for LeBron
LeBron James reached another milestone this week, becoming the league’s All time leader in minutes played, surpassing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. There is not much The King hasn’t achieved in his career. Last year he took sole possession of the leagues leading scorer, surpassing Kareem, he is fourth all time in assists with 10,534 although he probably won’t reach John Stockton’s record of 15,806 assists. James is yet to crack the Top 25 in rebounds, needing about 800 to catch up to Patrick Ewing to enter that illustrious group. It’s hard to argue with his resume, especially when it seems like every other game he is setting a new NBA record.
Western Conference Standings
Taking a look at the Western Conference standings, we see the Minnesota Timberwolves at the top of the table with a record of 13-4. The Thunder are just two games behind them at 11-6, sitting in 4th place, behind the Nuggets and the Mavericks. The Lakers are a little farther down the table at 11-8, after losing five of their first 8 games. They have lost just three of their last 10 games, and things seem like they are starting to turn around for the Lake Show.
Shai is the guy
Are we watching a potential league MVP grow up in front of our eyes? Shai Gilgoeus-Alexander is in his sixth year in the league and has shown signs of improvement each and every year. He’s averaging 30.5 points, 6 rebounds and 6.1 assists and even though it’s early he is having his best shooting season ever. He’s 53.8% from the floor and dropped 35.7% of his three, but even more important than that is the way the Thunder are playing. For the first time since the days of KD, Westbrook and Harden, the Thunder are a real threat in the West. If SGA continues on this pace, and the Thunder stay at the top of the standings, he will be a real candidate for MVP at the end of the year.
AD in OKC
The Lakers have arguably the best player to ever play the game of basketball, but at 38 years old even LeBron James is unable to carry the weight of the world on his shoulders. Anthony Davis needs to be the anchor of this team on the offensive and defensive end. Davis is averaging 22.2 points and 12.3 rebounds a game which are pretty good numbers for the big man, but if the Lakers are going to be competitive they need him to play with an edge the we rarely see from him. He has battled his fair share of injuries over the years, but if he can stay healthy while playing gritty then it would take a big burden off of LeBron and only benefit the Lakers.
Thunder last game
The Thunder dropped their second straight game, just their sixth loss of the season on Tuesday night in Philadelphia against the Sixers. OKC had a quick start out of the gates, taking a double digit lead into the second quarter and kept the lead until late in the third quarter. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 32 points but the Timberwolves dominated the Thunder on the boards, out rebounding OKC 51-36. OKC had a chance to tie the game up after Troy Brown Jr. missed his second of two FTs giving the Thunder the ball down three with 4.1 on the clock. SGA took a deep three ball as the clock expired but missed as the Thunder lost back to back games for only the second time this year.
Lakers last game
The Lakers traveled to Detroit last night to take on the worst team in the league, the Pistons, and made light work of them. They jumped out to a 19 point lead in the first quarter and cruised to victory on the heels of D’Angelo Russell’s 35 point night. He went 13/17 from the field and 5/7 from the field while Anthony Davis chipped in another 28 points and 16 rebounds and LeBron played 29 minutes scoring 25 to secure their second win on this four game road trip.
