While the state of California has seen its fair share of NBA excitement, it has never witnessed its four NBA teams making the playoffs in the same season until now.

The Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Lakers, Sacramento Kings, and Los Angeles Clippers are all headed to the 2023 NBA Playoffs, making history for the state that holds 25 of the 76 NBA championships.

The Kings, who have earned one championship before, enter the playoffs as the No. 3 seed in the Western Conference. The Clippers are the No. 5 seed and are seeking their first championship this season. Following, the Warriors, who earned the No. 6 seed, have seven titles, while the Lakers who secured the No. 7 seed in Tuesday’s play-in tournament have 17.

The Warriors face the Kings in the first round of the playoffs, while the Lakers take on the Grizzlies, and the Clippers face the Suns.

The playoffs officially start this weekend, Saturday, April 15.
