Update:

Did LeBron James Use Steroids in the NBA? That’s the claim made by Jeff Teague, a former NBA player who spent 12 seasons in the world’s top basketball league. Standing 1.91 meters tall, Teague played as a point guard and is the brother of fellow professional Marquis Teague.

On a recent podcast, Teague alleged that “The King” used performance-enhancing substances during his time with the Miami Heat—a period in which LeBron reached four consecutive NBA Finals, won two regular-season MVP awards, and secured two championship rings, the highest honor in the league.

They started testing for HGH (Human Growth Hormone), and he had to sit out,” Teague said. “He claimed his back was hurting and missed three weeks. When he came back, he was skinny.”

Teague, who enjoyed a lengthy career with the Atlanta Hawks, Minnesota Timberwolves, Boston Celtics, and Milwaukee Bucks, retired in 2021 after winning a championship alongside Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Though he never formally announced his retirement, it was widely assumed. Since stepping away from the court, Teague has taken on a scouting role with the Hawks—the franchise most closely tied to his playing days.
