Lebron James extension: How much money has he made in his career in salaries alone?

The Lakers superstar just signed an extension with his team that will see him through the 2024-2025 season, becoming the highest earning player ever.

LeBron James es elegible para firmar una extensión contractual con los Lakers de un año por 47 millones de dólares o dos años por 97.1 millones.

Lebron James has extended his contract with the Lakers for a couple more seasons, signing a 1+1 deal until the 2025 season for $97.1 million, which added up to all his previous contracts will make him the highest earning player in the history of the NBA. This deal will see him play more than 20 years in the league, where he has been a star since before being drafted first overall by the Cavaliers.

Lebron has made a lot of money during his career thanks to sponsorships as well, which combined with his salaries have already positioned him as a candidate to own an NBA team when the league expands to Las Vegas, but it is his on court production which has made him be very close to becoming the top scorer in NBA history, as he stands to pass Abdul-Jabbar this season, as well as the top earner. These are the contracts that have gotten him over $500 million over the past two decades.
