LeBron James is still in excellent shape, but he knows that his time in the NBA is coming to an end soon. The “King” was open and honest about possibly retiring from basketball after the Los Angeles Lakers’ 116-104 win against the Brooklyn Nets on Sunday.

The ‘King’ had one of the best games of his career, scoring 40 points and making 9 of 10 three-pointers, representing his best mark. In the area of triples, he has been improving. He maintains 40.1% effectiveness in triples this season, the second-best percentage of his career; he averages 5.2 attempts per game.

I’m not going to play another 21 years, that’s for sure., James told the media.

LeBron James received a standing ovation from the Nets audience as he left the game following his exceptional performance. This is his third time scoring 40 points in a game this season.

I don’t know when that door will close... but I don’t have much time left,” LeBron restated.

So far, James is averaging 25.2 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 8.1 assists in 64 games. The Lakers maintain a 7-3 record in their last 10 games and are in ninth place in the Western Conference.
