The Los Angeles Lakers found themselves on the end of criticism for selecting Bronny James in the second round of this year’s NBA Draft, but the rookie has worked tirelessly to silence those comments.

The eldest son of the future NBA Hall of Famer stole the spotlight by setting a career-high 30 points while playing for the South Bay Lakers in the G League against the Valley Suns last week at Mullet Arena in Tempe, Arizona.

LeBron James has always given credit where credit is due, especially when it comes to matters concerning his son, while dealing with accusations of nepotism that have surrounded him following an impressive performance from Bronny.

The Lakers superstar shared some emotional words five days later and offered some sage advice to his son, who still has a lot of room for improvement to earn a spot on the All-NBA first team.

LeBron James' advice to Bronny

Just keep putting in the days, keep putting in the work,” LeBron said. “The work always prevails at the end of the day. It’s great to see him getting back into his groove, getting back into his game, just playing with freedom, enjoying the game that he loves and knows how to play. I love his aggressiveness. He was aggressive from the beginning in both games to the end. Plus, he did it in a few minutes and on both ends of the court.”

LeBron James was also clear that he prefers to have conversations about his son’s progress in private, but he clarified that they have not talked about the 30 points he scored last week.

Finally, the veteran player spoke about Bronny James' priorities in the G League.

“I don’t know. I’m not sure. I wasn’t with him, but I know he would like to have those wins, which is the most important thing‚” concluded ‘The King’.
