Now that he keeps company with the likes of the late and great Wilt Chamberlain when it comes to NBA records, what better time to look at Luka Doncic’s achievements and net worth, than right here and now.

With the kind of waves that he’s been making on the court recently we all know that the Slovenian star is worth his weight in gold. With that said, we thought we take a look at just how much that worth actually is.

Who is Luka Doncic?

Born on February 28th, 1999, Luka Doncic is a Slovenian professional basketball player who currently plays as a forward for the Dallas Mavericks. Of course, that’s the vanilla version. In reality since he was drafted by the Atlanta Hawks with the third overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft - he was then traded to the Mavs - he’s been an absolute sensation. In the three years that Doncic has been in the league, he’s reinvented the very game we all love. and as such, is now considered among the very best players in the league.

If there was any doubt about that fact - we don’t know why there would be - Doncic recently punctuated the point by setting a 60-21-10 triple-double, which put him in a class with the likes of the legendary Wilt Chamberlain. “It’s incredible to be in comparisons with those guys,” he said at the time. Yet, here’s the thing: Luka Doncic has been a star from the moment we first his name. From his days with Spain’s Real Madrid, to when he helped his home country to win the EuroBasket title in 2017, Doncic has gone from strength to strength. To that end, the 2019 NBA Rookie of Year has been named to the All-Star team in each of his three seasons in the league so far and quite frankly that’s likely to continue. To be honest, Doncic is one of the prime candidates for league MVP this year. As one can imagine, with performances like the ones he’s consistently turning in, he’s accumulated quite a bit of wealth as well as endorsements. Let’s take a look at exactly how much.

Luka Doncic’s contract and endorsements

Though their agreement came to an end, it was back in 2017 when Luka Doncic signed a two-year deal with sneaker giant, Nike. The man known as the ‘El Matador’ then took things a step further by signing a multi-million-dollar deal in 2019 with the biggest fish of them all in the basketball world, Air Jordan. The Slovenian is also known to have deals with NBA2K and Panini, while making his first foray into the investment market with a new association with sports nutrition company BioSteel.

Where his contract is concerned, it was in 2021 when he was on a rookie contract with a base salary of $8,049,422, however, in order to secure the services of their star the Mavericks offered Doncic a five-year, $207 million rookie extension, which of course he signed. Today, Doncic has a net worth of an estimated $25 million. With said extension activating after the last season, he earned a further $10,174,286 on the campaign, which means in total he pocketed a calm $37,097,600 in 2022.
